Crash drivers 'stable' in hospital

TWO drivers who had life-threatening injuries following a crash near Oakham are today in a stable condition in hospital.
The women were taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary after they were cut free from their cars on Thursday night.

Two Ford Fiestas had collided at the brow of a hill on Braunston Road in Oakham at about 5.10pm.

The county council's highways team was called out to clear up the road which reopened at 2am on Friday.
