May I express my thanks to the two marvellous gentlemen from the Stam-ford branch of the Royal British Legion who came to Whitefriars care home to present my mother Daphne Ault with a badge and certificate commemorating her service in the Land Army during the Second World War.
They gave a very touching and sincere speech and presented my mother with some lovely flowers.
Thank you also to Jodie (activities co-ordinator) and all the staff for organising such a wonderful morning for my mother, which she and many of the residents enjoyed so much.
Thank you very much as well, Carol, for the flowers that you gave to me.
